Rebuilding
a large transformer can be expensive--up to 85% of the price of a new unit.
Therefore, it pays to have the job done right by a company which has stood
the test of time. With over 65 years of experience in rebuilding
transformers, Ward Transformer Sales and Service has emerged as an industry
leader in the areas of redesign and rebuilding. Our capabilities
range to 15 MVA and voltages to 69 KV Delta. When we rebuild your
transformer, only the finest quality materials are used, and experienced
technicians with pride of craftsmanship, rewind and rebuild your unit.
In the USA, Ward is one of
only a handful of companies that can vacuum-dry the insulation in your
transformer using the same process of the original manufacturer.
Our on-site chamber is capable of handling transformers up to and including
15 MVA. Our vacuum dehydration system has a cold-trap water capacity
of 36 gallons per day. This is only one aspect of our commitment to quality
service along with superior technology for the repair of your transformer.
Ward
can handle units weighing from 30 to 100,000 pounds. We are equipped
with overhead cranes in our inside loading dock and winding areas as well
as an outside crane for larger transformers requiring extended lifts.
After servicing, all transformers
go through a thorough testing process. Our testing facility is designed
to meet the latest ANSI requirements. Trained technicians perform
a complete analysis on your transformer with computer-generated results.
Printed results are available for your review within minutes.
Our technical/repair team
is comprised of over 50 highly trained individuals, many of whom have over
15 years of experience. Every winder employed apprentices for a minimum
of six months with a more experienced team member before they can begin
winding on their own. Technicians are supported by our engineering
department which is staffed by transformer experts who utilize CAD. |
